210×70 Jende Nanocloth Strop – Knife Sharpening Strop – Color Coded for Your Pleasure!

A strop is often the final step in the sharpening process, but the material you use can influence how the edge is refined. The 210×70 Jende Nano Cloth Strop was designed to work with diamond and coticule emulsions while providing consistent contact throughout every stroke.

Unlike traditional woven stropping materials, Nano Cloth Ultra has no weave pattern. This means the feedback remains the same regardless of the direction of the stroke. Many woven strops can feel different depending on the direction you move across the surface, making it harder to judge your technique. Nano Cloth eliminates that variation, allowing you to focus on maintaining a steady stropping angle.

One of the defining features of the Nano Cloth surface is its honeycomb structure. When used with Jende Poly Diamond Sprays, Jende Poly Diamond Emulsions, or Jende Coticule Emulsions, the abrasive settles into the microscopic cells of the material. This helps keep more abrasive on the strop rather than transferring it directly to the blade. As the honeycomb structure fills, it creates a more even contact area, resulting in a consistent scratch pattern across the edge.

The Nano Cloth also responds well to changes in pressure. Applying more pressure increases the cutting action, making it useful for edge maintenance, while lighter strokes refine the edge during the final stages of stropping. This allows the same strop to be used for different finishing tasks simply by adjusting your stropping technique.

The strop is mounted on a 210 × 70 × 20 mm (3/4″) color-coded acrylic base. Its dimensions make it suitable for use either by hand or in most standard sharpening stone holders. Each acrylic base is color matched to the corresponding Jende Diamond Emulsion grit, making it easy to identify the correct strop without turning it over to read the label. Laser-etched markings provide permanent grit identification that remains easy to read over time.

The 210×70 Jende Nano Cloth Strop is compatible with:

  • Jende Poly Diamond Sprays
  • Jende Poly Diamond Emulsions
  • Jende Coticule Emulsions

Please note that the strop is supplied without emulsions or sprays, allowing you to choose the abrasive and grit combination that best fits your sharpening progression.

Whether you’re maintaining kitchen knives, outdoor knives, woodworking tools, or straight razors, the 210×70 Jende Nano Cloth Strop provides a consistent stropping surface that works with a variety of abrasive compounds while fitting seamlessly into most sharpening setups.

The Jende Nano Cloth Ultra is a synthetic stropping surface designed to provide consistent performance throughout every pass. Unlike woven materials, Nano Cloth has no directional weave, so the feel and feedback remain the same whether you strop forward or backward. With traditional woven strops, the texture can create varying resistance depending on the direction of the stroke, making it harder to maintain a consistent technique. Nano Cloth removes that variable, allowing for a smoother and more predictable stropping experience.

Honeycomb Surface for Consistent Abrasive Distribution

At the heart of the Nano Cloth Ultra is its engineered honeycomb surface. Each microscopic cell is designed to hold diamond or CBN emulsions within the material instead of allowing them to collect on the blade. This helps keep the abrasive where it’s needed—on the strop—while creating an even contact surface during every stroke.

As the cells fill with emulsion, they produce a uniform polishing action across the edge. The result is a more consistent scratch pattern and better control throughout the stropping process.

Minimal Compression, Greater Control

Unlike leather, which naturally compresses under pressure, the Nano Cloth Ultra has very little surface compression. This allows the abrasive to remain supported within the honeycomb structure, giving you greater control over how aggressively the strop works.

You can easily adjust the cutting action simply by changing your stropping pressure:

  • Apply more pressure when you want increased cutting action for edge maintenance.
  • Use light finishing strokes when refining or polishing the edge.

This flexibility allows one strop to handle multiple stages of edge refinement without changing the stropping surface.

Color-Coded for Quick Identification

Every Nano Cloth Ultra strop is mounted on a color-coded acrylic base that corresponds to its matching Jende emulsion grit. This makes it easy to select the correct strop at a glance, helping you stay organized throughout your sharpening progression.

Each base is also laser engraved with permanent grit markings that remain clear after repeated use.

Compatible with Jende Abrasives

The Nano Cloth Ultra is designed to work with:

Whether you prefer sprays or emulsions, the Nano Cloth surface provides consistent abrasive retention and reliable performance.
